Sealed bids will be received by the City of Pullman at the Public Works Department, Attention: Bethany Johnson, 190 SE Crestview Street, Building A, Pullman, WA 99163, until 10:00 a.m. local time, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, for the following: Project Pullman City Cemetery Expansion 2024 Contract No.23-05

This project consists of clearing and grubbing approximately 2.4 acres of what is predominantly farmland, stripping topsoil, stockpiling topsoil, grading subgrade, constructing approximately 1,410 linear feet of gravel roadway, replacing topsoil, spreading compost and partial mixing into topsoil, hydroseeding, installing erosion control blankets on steep slopes, and other related incidental items.

The project may also include, as an additive, installing new irrigation system plus replacing approximately 700 linear feet of existing 6-inch irrigation main.

Bidders may obtain plans and specifications from the City of Pullman plan room, http://www.cityofpullmanplanroom.com.

Bidders must create a free user account to view and download digital files at no cost. Printed documents are available, at bidders expense, by choosing the “Order” option at http://www.cityofpullmanplanroom.com. Bidders are encouraged to register as a plan holder at the city’s plan room.

A certified check, bid bond, or cashier’s check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany the proposal. The local agency hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, political affiliation, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, disabilities, or any other protected status in consideration for an award.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities or irregularities, and after careful consideration of all bids and factors involved, make the award to best serve the interests of the City of Pullman.
