Thursday, July 7

Rosalia – 10:15 a.m. – Alphabet Soup – “fueling your engine" for summer fun through healthy nutrition. It is designed for kids in elementary school but should be fun for all ages with games, stories, and of course a healthy snack.

Tekoa – 12 to 1 p.m. – Get Buggy at the Library – There will be LEGO relays and parachute pops, and fun with fleas, cockroaches, praying mantis, spiders and more in this live and preserved display with WSU insect specialist.

Farmington – 2:30 p.m. – Steve Van Vleet from WSU Extension Office will be at the library to show his collection of insects and bugs.

Friday, July 8

St. John – 11:30 a.m. – Early learning Summer Reading with Miss Trinette. Come see what she will do next.

Colfax – 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. – Program for students finishing 3rd grade and entering 4th can meet at the Colfax Library for reading, Legos, and more.

Rosalia – 7 to 9 p.m. – Teen Movie Night – Bring a snack and some friends to watch a movie selected from the library collection.

Saturday, July 9

Oakesdale – 10:30 a.m. – Old Mill Days book sale. A great chance to spoil yourself with some awesome summer reading materials while supporting Oakesdale and your library.

Colfax – 11 a.m. – Concrete River Bike Parade. Kids, teens & adults are invited to join the Colfax Library at the Concrete River Parade and ride your bike, scooter, skateboard or walk along with baby strollers. For more information call WCL at 509-397-4366 or see the library calendar.

Albion – 12 to 1:30 p.m. – Frisbee Golf – Join us in the park by the trees near the city building no prior Frisbee knowledge is necessary just come learn how to throw and play an action-packed game.

Monday, July 11

St. John – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Hit a home run with Over-Drive – Have you ever wondered how to download the library's audiobooks and e-books to your electronic devices? Join us at the library to find out how to get the books you love on your favorite device.

Malden & St. John – Gardening for Healthier living – horticulturist Donna Guske Hansen explores the health benefits of gardening. See the WCL calendar or call the library at 509-397-4366.

Colfax – 6 to 8 p.m. – Child and Adult Coding Camp – 3rd grade and up; bring an adult with you to exercise your mind and learn computer programming.

Tuesday, July 12

Endicott, Farmington & Palouse – On Your Mark, Get Set Read! – There are all sorts of fun Summer Reading Programs planned, see your local library for times.

Colfax – All Day – Calling all Lego® builders grades K-12. Create an original sports related Lego® project for summer reading theme "On Your Mark, Get Set READ". (No pre-made sets please.) For more information about this fun contest, see the WCL Calendar at http://www.whitco.lib.wa.us.

Colfax – 4 p.m. – Zaniac Comedy Show – Get wild with Alex Zerbe master magician and comedian.

Wednesday, July 13

LaCrosse – 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. – Kids Olympics at the Park – join in the Summer Reading Games. Play in the park to celebrate Summer Reading. If the weather is bad we will move to the library.

Garfield – 1 p.m. – All about feeding your body and mind with a healthy lifestyle. We will get to taste test a few NEW foods and rate them on our taste o' meter. A fun craft and yummy snack will also be provided.

St. John – 1 p.m. – The Science of Sports – We will learn about the mechanics of sports and set records for throwing, jumping and other activities.

Uniontown – 5 to 6 p.m. – Adult craft night – Bring the kids to play with toys or participate in their own crafts and coloring, while the adults have fun creating! There will be adult coloring books, knitting, sewing, clay, and much much more.

Palouse – 6:30 p.m.– Gardening for Healthier living – horticulturist Donna Guske Hansen explores the health benefits of gardening. See the WCL calendar or call the library at 509-397-4366.

Colfax – 7 p.m. – PJ Storytime – Free program features sing along songs and bedtime stories for all ages. Wear your PJ’s and bring a friend to enjoy this fun family event.

Malden – 7 p.m. – Library Records – Participants work alone and in groups to set and break crazy records all around the library.

Thursday, July 14

Rosalia – 10:15 a.m. – Library Records – Participants work alone and in groups to set and break crazy records all around the library.

Tekoa – 12 to 1 p.m. – Robot fun – My robot's name is Ironman and you can build one in summer reading today.

Rosalia – 5 to 7 p.m. – Hit a home run with Overdrive – Come to the library to learn how to use Overdrive on your e-reader, tablet or phone.
