On Endicott Road: Fourth marijuana site in county gets license approval

A fourth license to grow and process marijuana in Whitman County was granted by the state Liquor Control Board on Feb. 4.

Garry H. Griffiths of Pasco, under the name of Three G Farms at 7205 Endicott Road, now has a license to produce and process marijuana. The license allows Griffiths to have a maximum of 21,000 square feet of marijuana for production at wholesale to marijuana processor licensees and to other marijuana producer licensees.

According to a real estate transfer tax affidavit filed in the treasurer’s office Nov. 18, 2014, the property along 7205 Endicott Road was sold by Charles T. and Patricia K. Meyer of Sunnyside to Avetik Harutunian of Las Vegas for $325,000.

A spokesperson for the Liquor Control Board said that the person who has a license is not required to own the property. The licensee may rent the property and operate the marijuana business, but before getting a license, the applicant had to show proof of a signed lease or rental agreement.

According to state Liquor Control Board rules, any changes in ownership, alterations to the operating or floor plan, and business relocation require prior board approval.

The license also allows him to process, package and label usable marijuana and marijuana-infused products for sale at wholesale to marijuana retailers.

The license dictates that there are 15 days to have all seeds, clones, non-flowering marijuana plants and plant tissue physically on the premises. All seeds, clones, non-flowering marijuana plants and plant tissue that enters the facility during the 15-day time frame must be recorded.

All marijuana is traced through a statewide system.

No one under 21 is allowed on the site.
