UMC tree wins contest

The decorated tree entered by the United Methodist Church won the first Christmas Tree Festival contest Saturday. The UMC tree was among 13 entered in the tree decorating festival which started two weeks ago. Voting continued during the Santa reception and ukulele concert at the Center Saturday evening.

Chamber members kept the tree display open from 5 to 7 p.m. on weeknights to allow residents to see the trees and cast a vote for eight days.
