Dahmen Barn in Uniontown will begin the Wild Women Winter Art Series with Sunday afternoon workshops Jan. 4 through March 29, from 1 to 4 p.m. Topics offered are: Jan. 4 - beaded bracelets or earrings, Jan. 11 - pop-up cards and books, Jan. 18 - glass etching, Jan. 25 - painting on silk, Feb. 1 - Valentine postcards, Feb. 8 - beginning knitting, Feb. 15 - beginning oil painting, Feb. 22 - art trading cards, Mar 1 - altered books, Mar 8 - beginning watercolor, Mar 15 - fused glass pendant, Mar 22 - felted dryer balls, Mar 29 - painting scenery in acrylic.

The instructors will be Jeanne Wood, Laurel Macdonald, Debi Robinson-Smith, Martha McIver, Joey Ford, Nancy Attebury, Christie Alexandre-Zeoli and Kat Clancy. The cost is $25 in advance, or $35 on the day of the workshop - plus a materials fee which varies with each topic.

Chapter AE at Palouse Dec. 9 conducted raffles for two crockpots, one loaded with WSU Cougar item and the other with UI Vandal items. Proceeds from the raffle are designated for scholarships.

Winner of the Cougar crockpot raffle was Shelly Slocum, Palouse, and the winner of the Vandal crockpot was Janice Lund, Garfield.

Pullman LWV

Pullman League of Women Voters Jan. 15 will host a public brown bag discussion with Annie Pillars from Pullman Hospice who will discuss end of life care options available through hospice. The meeting will be from noon to 1 p.m. at the Congregational Church, 525 Campus Avenue. There is free parking in the lot next to the church at the corner of Campus and Opel streets.
