UC Academy

in Yule concert

Upper Columbia Academy music department will present an evening of Christmas music Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Empire Theater in Tekoa. The concert will feature both instrumental, vocal and choral selections, from J.S. Bach all the way up to Manheim Steamroller and even the Grinch.

The 27-member Choraliers, under the direction of Curtis Anderson, have been in existence since at least the 1940s, when the Academy moved from Yakima to its current campus near Spangle. In addition to the chorus, a vocal octet will perform. Completing the program will...
