FSA slates info sessions on new farm bill programs

Agricultural producers in Whitman County and surrounding areas will have an opportunity to learn details about the new Farm Bill programs at informational meetings slated for Wednesday, Nov. 5 in Colfax and in St. John also on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

Representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency will explain the options farmers have under the Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs. The meetings will be at 8:30 a.m. at the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds and at 1:30 p.m. at the St. John Community Building.
