German dinner, auction set at Endicott Nov. 2

Endicott

Endicott Community Club met Oct. 7. The German dinner and silent auction were discussed and committees are in the process of getting everything ready. The dinner and auction will be Sunday, Nov. 2. Proceeds will go toward projects in Endicott.

The Community Club has decided to buy flags and poles for the cemetery. Six military flags, one for each branch of the military, and four U.S. flags will be purchased.

Community Club also purchased a fire hydrant for the Town of Endicott to replace a broken one.

The club is slated for a work day at Multi-Floral Park Wednesday, Oct. 15, with school children and other volunteers. They will be cleaning up the vegetation at the park.

Trinity Lutheran Church's Elizabeth Circle members packaged up 16 baby kits Monday, and the kits will be blessed on Sunday, Oct. 19. Each of the kits holds four diapers, two pair of socks, two shirts, two sets of pajamas, one coat with a hood or one coat and one hat, one towel, two bars of soap, one blanket wrapped in another blanket with two safety pins closing the kit. The group continues to work on blankets for the kits to be packaged next spring.
