FEC campaign reports

Federal Elections Commission campaign reports for Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Joe Pakootas, the candidates who top the Nov. 4 ballot in the race for the 5th District U.S. House of Representatives, show big differences in their financial support.

McMorris Rodgers lists total contributions of $1,776,428 in her last report which covered the period Jan. 1, 2013, to July 16, 2014. The total included $944,338 from individual contributions and $832,428 from committees other than party committees. The Republican incumbent listed expenditures to that date at $1,485,955.

Pakootas, the challenger from the Democratic party who made a campaign swing through the Palouse two weeks ago, filed his latest report Sept. 30 for the period covering the prior year.

Total contributions were listed at $148,131. That included individual contributions plus $2,338 from a party committee and $8,750 for other committees.

Total campaign disbursements were listed at $149,333.
