City-hospital pact revised

The formal agreement which calls for Whitman Hospital to help fund the costs of around-the-clock police staffing in Colfax has been completed and will be in place for three years, City Administrator Mike Rizzitiello reported to the city council Oct. 6. The city and hospital had a preliminary agreement for $4,000 per month, but that was bumped to $4,200 when other costs such as vehicle maintenance and benefits were added to the formula.
