Football guests visit at Dusty

Weekend guests at the Dick Appel home for the WSU game were their son-in-law, Bruce Wollstein, and his sons-in-law David Lohrmeyer, Pat Corrigan and Elliot Moon. Dick joined them for the game. Sunday guests were Lisa and Travis Frei, Miriam, Rachel, Emma and Collette. They helped dig potatoes from the Appel garden.

Kim and Cindy Pitts hosted a family get-together in their home this past weekend. Arriving Friday, were Carrie Pitts, Yakima, and Jen and Ryan Hammons and Kellen, Becket and Willa from Boise. Saturday, they were joined by Amanda and Erik Carlson and Rafe and Tate, Spokane, and Norm Bafus, LaCrosse. They celebrated Becket’s seventh birthday at lunch and then all, with the exception of Norm Bafus, attended the WSU football game.

Meggie Perron, granddaughter of Fran Jones, returned to the states from her home in Italy last Sunday. She will begin classes at Walla Walla Community College Sept. 22. Warren and Bryan Jones moved her into an apartment Saturday assisted by Meggie, Julie Walker of Hayden, Idaho, and Fran Jones.

David and Phyllis Stueckle left Sept. 6 to spend a few days in Portland at the home of their daughter's family, Larry and Karen Light. From Portland, they went on to Seventh Mountain Resort near Bend for a few more days. They returned home Thursday, Sept. 11.

Last Thursday, Linda Hennigar was among about 40 guests who attended an “After Harvest” barbecue at the home of Joe and Sharon McKeiran near LaCrosse.
