Grandmother's honored

More than 20 members of the Colfax Thrifty Grandmothers were honored Aug. 21 at the special luncheon hosted by the Colfax Chamber of Commerce. The grandmothers were sponsored by businesses and individuals. Twenty-one members of the club returned RSVPs.

Colfax Mayor Todd Vanek presented the club members with another key to the city and commended them on their volunteer work.

Colfax Distinguished Young Women winners Amara Huber, Erica Eng, and Ysabeax Eng performed their talent competition numbers for the grandmothers.

Approximately 50 people attended the luncheon banquet at Hill Ray.
