Student art show set at Rosalia

Budding Rose Art Gallery and Clayworks, a non-profit gallery for kids of all ages, will present the 15th annual Rosalia student art show, "Spartan Legacy," Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. during Rosalia Battle Days. The show will feature "Horsehair Fired Pottery" along with a variety of art media. In addition, a portion of the Andrew Anderson butterfly collection will be on display.

Rosalia Garden Club

Members are preparing for their annual plant sale in conjunction with the town's Battle Days celebration Saturday, June 7. The plant sale will be at the mini-park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Next garden club meeting will be Wednesday, June 11, for a tour of the Manito Park Japanese gardens followed by a tour of the rose gardens. Members will car pool from the Rosalia mini-park at 9:45 a.m. The tour will start in Spokane at 10:30. Lunch will follow the tours at a local restaurant.

Whitman County Genealogical Society will celebrate its 30th anniversary Sunday with Russ Wheelhouse, proprietor of Antiques by Ross, appraising antiques and other items at the Bishop Place Independent Living social room in Pullman Sunday, June 8, beginning at 3 p.m.
