Tewalt tops Tekoa golf meet

Jacob Tewalt of Pomeroy carded an 83 for medalist honors in a five team meet Saturday at the Tekoa Golf course. Riley Bott, also of Pomeroy, finished three strokes back at 86 for second place, and Jake Gosse of Asotin finished third at 90.

Pomeroy topped the team competition with a 266 based on the lowest three cards. Asotin placed second at 315; Tekoa totaled 327; and St. John/Endicott booked 334.

Sarah Billings to Tekoa hit 108 to lead the girls’ side, and Laura Herrington of SJE was number two with 112. Other scores for Tekoa were Maddie Gregory 120, and Kim Groom 129. Other scorers for SJE were Nele Lemke 119, and Elle Bailey 123.

Pomeroy: Tysen Feider 97, Cameron Lueck 103, Spencer Craigle 119 and Jacob Schuh 122.

Asotin: Chase Ward 103 and Kyle Mason 122.

Tekoa: Dawson Strobel 100, Mike Greyback 113, Ben Zimmerman 114 and Cameron Schell 120.

SJE: Zach Williams 107, RJ Baltierra 107, Mikah Selk 120 and Landon Hallenius 155.
