Tony and Denise Kendall, Tacoma, spent the weekend with her father Oscar Broeckel. Sunday, they celebrated Denise’s, Doreen’s and Tom Riedner’s birthdays a week early with dinner in Colfax. Attending the celebration were Denise and Tony Kendall, Tom and Doreen Riedner, Oscar Broeckel, Brian and Angela Broeckel, Graham BeDell and Karen Broeckel.

The group also celebrated Graham BeDell’s announcement that he will be valedictorian for the graduating class of 2014 at LaCrosse High School in June.

Larry Brink had hip replacement surgery last Wednesday at the Pullman Hospital. He returned home Saturday where he is recuperating.

Kim and Cindy Pitts went to Spokane Friday. Saturday they watched grandson Rafe play basketball. After the game, they brought both Rafe and his brother Tate to the farm for the weekend. They returned the boys to their parents Sunday.
