Piece Makers roll to Diamond Lake

Endicott

Piece Makers of Endicott and LaCrosse motored to Diamond Lake July 17 to have lunch with Anna Mae Tobin, former Hooper resident, her sister Mrs. Mary White from Minnesota and her daughter. They also shopped for quilt fabric.

Mrs. Tobin is a member of the quilting group and is now living with her daughter near Diamond Lake. Mrs. White is a member who comes every summer from Minnesota to join them for sewing quilts. Another member, Betty Jo Hagman, a former LaCrosse resident, drove from north of Priest River to join the group for the day.

Mrs. Dave Bilow, Mrs. Dennis Mackleit, Mrs. Margaret Mackleit, Mrs. Ila Stuart, Mrs. Frank Gray, Mrs. Jim Storment, Mrs. Willard Lowe and Mrs. Helen Jane Hughes made the trip.

Lunch was enjoyed by the group at Old Town overlooking the Pend Oreille River with a view of the mountains.
