Carnival tickets on sale

Advance sale of discount tickets for the carnival rides at the Palouse Empire Fair will go on sale Aug. 1. The fair this year will sell the tickets at its office and at Four Star Supply outlets in Colfax and Pullman. Fair secretary Terry Jeffries said the fair this year had cut down on the number of discount outlets because of the costs of distribution.

The Northstar one-day tickets will be sold for $15, a three dollar discount, from Aug. 1 to Sept. 4. After that the tickets will be sold at the regular on-grounds price of $18.
