Shannon Carrothers wins Miss Rosalia title

Rosalia

Shannon Carrothers was named Miss Rosalia for 2013-14 Sunday at the finish of the competition which had a theme of “Camping Beneath the Moon and Stars.” Shannon also won prizes for Spirit of Miss Rosalia, most tickets sales and poise and appearance.

Stacy Carrothers was named first princess and Autumn Reisen was named second princess.

Shannon and Stacey are the daughters of Jane Carrothers and Chad Carrothers and Autumn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Reisen.

Last year’s Queen Maddy St. John and princesses Haley Lindgren and Whitney Terrell gave their farewells.

Shannon Carrothers performed a monologue about finding the perfect book at the library; Stacey Carrothers played a solo from “Phantom of the Opera” on the tenor saxophone and Autumn Reisen performed a dance routine to “Call Me.”

A cookbook “Rayna’s Recipes for Celtic Heritage Tour 2013” is now available in Rosalia and Colfax. The cookbook is a fund raiser for Rayna Charles, a RHS sophomore who will take part in a People to People Student Ambassador Tour of Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Wales for 19 days in June.

Rayna is the daughter of Tanya and David Charles of Rosalia.

The cookbook is available at Main Street Books in Colfax, Bank of Fairfield, Gifted Grannys, Smith’s Country Store and the Brass Rail in Rosalia.
