GMO session

Pullman League of Women Voters will sponsor a public meeting about Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) Monday, March 4, at 7 p.m. in the Gold Room of the Gladish Cultural Center.

Dr. Michael Neff, director of the Molecular Plant Sciences graduate program and assistant chair of the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences, will present “Transgenic Crops – the methods, pros and cons of GMOs and biotechnology.”

The goal of this presentation is to discuss the science behind the technology so that knowledgeable opinions can be developed on a case-by-case basis. Everyone is welcome to attend....
