Sagers attend Flying Farmers seminar

Dusty

Art and Colene Sager flew to Moses Lake for a pilot safety seminar on Saturday.

This is an annual event sponsored by Washington Flying Farmers, Big Bend College and the FAA. This seminar provides the pilot with the FAA requirements for the written biennial review.

To complete the biennial review, the instructor must fly with the pilot and sign the logbook.

While the seminar was being held at the Grant County Airport, a Delta Airline plane with 108 people aboard had to make an emergency landing.

The airliner was traveling from JFK New York to Seattle.

The airline passengers were disembarked at the small airport cafe in Moses Lake to the surprise of the seminar attendees who were planning on eating there.

Friday, Kim Pitts picked up his grandsons Rafe and Tate Carlson in Spokane and took them to Dusty to spend the weekend with grandpa and grandma on the farm. He returned them to their parents on Sunday.

The Dusty B.B. Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the home of Helen Appel. Joyce Appel is the co-hostess. Roll call will be wedding memories. The program will be a show-and-tell of wedding photo books.
