Art and Colene Sager drove to Soap Lake where they joined friends for a Flying Farmer Christmas party. They had dinner at Don’s Restaurant and then went to John and Audrey Ledgerwood’s home for dessert, visiting and a gift exchange.

David and Phyllis Stueckle were in Portland last Thursday and Friday to attend the holiday concert at Cleveland High School where their granddaughter Emmaly Light, daughter of Karen and Larry Light, is a member of the choir.

The wind storm Sunday night and Monday damaged the home of Lucky and Joan Myrick. A poplar tree fell on their pickup truck. It dented the hood and broke the windshield on their jeep.

Dusty native Elsie Broeckel Mock, sister of Oscar Broeckel, died last week in Boise. She was born Oct. 27, 1924, to the late William and Amalia Broeckel of Dusty. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell Mock, and son Mike Mock.

Services will be Saturday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at the Christian Church in Waitsburg where she and her family had lived for many years. Viewing will be at 10 a.m. She will be buried in the cemetery at Waitsburg.
