Tekoa grad Erin Wise set for Empire

Tekoa ‘s Empire Theater Dec. 21 will feature a special performance by Tekoa grad Erin Mar-De Wise. Her “The Most Wonderful Time” concert will be Dec. 21, 7 p.m.

“The Most Wonderful Time” is an equal mix of classical holiday pieces and Broadway nostalgia. The result is a warm welcome back to the days of old Hollywood Christmas, the warmth of George Bailey and the wonder of little Susan Walker. It’s an evening of song that gives a little Christmas, right this very minute.

Erin Mar-De Wise, a 1999 graduate of Tekoa High School, received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Washington University. She then attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, or AMDA, in New York City where she received her professional certification in performance arts.

Since arriving back on the west coast, Wise has been performing, directing and choreographing in the greater Seattle area. When asked why she wanted to do this performance, she stated, “This is my home, I love this community. This is where it all started for me. It is because of this amazing town and its support I have gone on to do some amazing things. This theater holds a special place in my heart and deserves to be used. What has been done to renovate it is a great accomplishment.”

Admission will be $7 for adults and $3 for children. Those five and under will be admitted free.
