Iva Lee Bricker

A memorial service for Iva Lee Bricker, 80, will be Sunday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m. at Kramer Funeral Home, Palouse, with the Rev. Kathy Kramer officiating. Urn burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse. She died last Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012.

Born Aug. 27, 1932, at Spokane, to Joseph Lee and Rena Paralee (Bonner) Kelley, she attended Hamilton Grade School and Rogers High School in Spokane before moving to Palouse at the age of 16. She graduated from the Palouse High School with the class of 1950.

She married Kenneth Nagle Sept. 17, 1950, at Potlatch, and they made their home at Palouse. The couple was later divorced.

She worked as a beautician at Oleta’s Beauty Shop in Palouse and owned and operated her own Beauty Shop in Garfield for several years. She later worked as a house keeper and for home health in Whitman County until she retired in 2002.

She married Roscoe Bricker in 1979, and he died in 1992.

She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending summers at Badger Lake with family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, John (Dory) Nagle, Stockton, Calif., and Jack (Sally) Nagle, Potlatch; two daughters, Kelley Barton, Fernwood, Idaho, and Jill (Mark) Talarico, Spokane; one sister, Della Canter, Spokane; and her companion Bill Cooper at the Palouse home. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beckey Resleff.
