Yakima birthday fete

Harmon and Jan Smith have returned from a stay in Yakima where they celebrated grandson Micah’s fifth birthday with family and friends. Cake and homemade ice cream were served to the guests at a bowling party. Jan enjoyed visiting with LaCrosse grad Debbie Camp McCown. Debbie’s granddaughters are friends of Micah.

Brian and Angela Broeckel provided transportation service for her parents, Guenter and Brigitte Scherwinski of Mountain Home, Idaho, last week. Wednesday, she picked them up at the Spokane Airport and drove them back to the Broeckel home where they had left their car and dog. The Scherwinskis had spent 10 days in Hawaii to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They returned to their own home the next day.

Kellen, Becket and Willa Hammons and their parents, Jen and Ryan, of Boise, arrived at the home of their grandparents, Kim and Cindy Pitts, Saturday. They will stay through Thanksgiving. Before their guests arrived Saturday, Kim and Cindy went to Spokane to watch five-year-old grandson, Rafe Carlson, play in a basketball game.
