Obituary - Scott E. Westover

Funeral services for Scott E. Westover, 50, will be Friday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. at Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse with burial to follow at the Garfield Cemetery. Mr. Westover died Friday morning, Nov. 9, 2012, at his home from lung cancer.

Born Jan. 20, 1962, at Quincy, to Bernell and Kay Sampson Westover, he attended Quincy schools and graduated from Quincy High School in 1980. Scott later attended an automotive school in Arizona.

Scott was married and later divorced.

He moved to Garfield in 1995 and was employed by J. E. Love Co. for a few years. Scott also worked for Doran Rogers Cascade Flying Service during the spring season at Grinnell. Scott then worked for Mike Delzer for a time doing piece work and sewing.

Scott started his own business out of his home to make motorcycle accessories for the Harley-Davidson side saddle bags. He operated the business for seven years until ill health caused him to retire.

Scott was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Potlatch, served on the Garfield Fire Department for 10 years and the Garfield – Farmington EMS for eight years. He enjoyed riding his Harley –Davidson motorcycle.

Survivors include two daughters, Heather Martzall and husband Matt, Farmington; Tiffany Hardison and husband Stephen, Racine, Wis .; his father, Bernell Westover, Quincy; his mother, Kay Craig and her husband Jerry, Garfield; one brother, Bryan Westover, Richland; two sisters, Sharon (Norman) Jones, Harvard, Idaho; Patsy (Bruce) Brereton, Alameda, Calif .; his special companion, Andi Brown, Garfield, and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Humane Society at Pullman.
