Obituary - Laura Jane Bellingar

A graveside service for Laura Jane Bellingar, 73, Colfax, will be at the Onecho Cemetery, Friday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Mike Nyholm of the Onecho Bible Church will officiate. Mrs. Bellingar died Thursday morning, Oct. 25, 2012, at her home in Colfax.

Born June 19, 1939, in Bellingham, to Daniel and Senya MacKenzie, she graduated from Meridian High School there in 1957 and attended a business school and was employed at an area doctor’s office.

She and Ralph Bellingar, whom she’d met in junior high, were married Dec. 14, 1957.

They made their home in Bellingham.

Laura kept busy as a wife and mother.

She followed her children in all their activities including as a den mother for Cub Scouts and Rainbow girls.

She and Ralph also enjoyed square dancing.

They operated a 57-acre ranch where they raised cattle and horses.

Laura often operated the tractor and helped with haying.

She loved sewing and was an accomplished seamstress.

She and Ralph moved to Colfax about 13 years ago to be closer to their daughter.

He died in 2003.

Surviving are three children; Ralph (Janice) Bellingar of Auburn, Mark (Diana) Bellingar of Custer, and Tracy (John) Rossiter of Colfax; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
