McCroskey House to offer brunches on first Sundays

A series of first Sunday brunches and lunches at the historic McCroskey House in Garfield will begin July 2. Serving will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. with Innkeeper Donna Gwinn offering “scrumptious” menu choices at a rate of $8 for adults and $5 children under 12.

Located along Highway 27 at the north end of Garfield, the McCroskey House was built in 1898 and is listed on National Historic Register.

Ten percent of each day’s proceeds will be donated to Seedlings Child Care Center in Garfield. Other dates will be July 1, Aug. 5, Sept. 2, Oct. 7, Nov. 4 and Dec. 2...
