Colfax High grads of 2012 receive $759,400 in awards, scholarships

Colfax High School presented degrees to 56 members of the class of 2012 Saturday afternoon in the Colfax gym. Class members received over $759,411 in awards and scholarships which were presented last Tuesday and listed in Saturday’s commencement program.

Of that total, $674,756 was for scholarship awards which continue over a four-year student period.

Valedictorian Morgan Willson and salutatorian Arik Laubach received their medals which were presented by parents prior to their respective addresses.

Highest honor graduates with grade average of 3.75 to 3.98 are Connor Appel, Brady Cornelius, Megan Groom, Rebecca Hardie, Natasha Nellis, Lauren Moore and Rich Scholz.

High honor graduates with grade averages of 3.5 to 3.74 were Brent Conrad, Conrad Geier, Jay Hart, Kaysha Lyman, Misty Skelton and Brandon Soncarty.

Honors graduates with grade averages of 3.25 to 3.49 were Justin Berarducci, Erin Cox, Hayley Hahn, Hannah Harazin, Amy Hickman, Kyle Johnson, Alvin Li, Reagan Lowe, Lucas Lyon, Abigail Muir, Kelsey Nails, Samantha Pearson, Jordan Sharp, Allison Spaulding and Tyler Stevenson.

Supt. Michael Morgan presented the class and board members Katherine Wride and Deborah Pearson presented the diplomas.
