Julie Pittmann now DAR 2nd VP

Julie Pittmann was selected as the second vice regent of the state of Washington Daughters of the American Revolution at the 111th state conference last week in Pasco. The 2,200 members of the state hold annual conferences to congratulate the past year’s scholarship winners and state wide patriotic accomplishments.

Julie is a 13-year member of the Esther Reed DAR Chapter in Spokane and the immediate past chaplain of the state DAR. She is the wife of Charles Pittmann of Rosalia. Her projects included chairmanship of the literacy program and projects involving the Washington State Veteran Cemetery.

Nationally, the 180,000 members promote citizenship and historical preservation along with providing more than $5 million in scholarships for outstanding high school and college students. The DAR is a lineage based service organization who trace their ancestors to the American Revolutionary War.
