Wildcats take two over GP Vikings

Colton girls remained on track Monday with two heavy wins over Garfield/Palouse to wrap up the league campaign. The Wildcats shut down the Vikings 11-1 in the first game and 10-3 in the second game.

Taylor Nilson allowed the Vikings six hits in pitching the 11-1 win. Colton pegged an 8-0 lead after two innings and added three in the bottom of the fourth.

Haley Moser had three hits with a homer to lead the Colton bats. She had three RBIs. McCenzie McClanahan had two hits for the Vikings.

Nilson and GP’s Chandler Pfaff went back to work in the second game, and the Wildcats posted a 10-3 win with a 10-hit offense. Jenna Moser had three hits with a double, and Kaitlin Druffel had three hits. Megan Heitstuman had two hits with a double.

Colton’s mark now stands at 11-1 in league play with number-four Pomeroy slated to arrive next Tuesday for the first round of the playoffs.
