Forum on UI livestock study

An open forum for livestock producers in Eastern Washington and North Idaho will be Monday, April 30, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Palouse Community Center in Palouse. A University of Idaho research team working to find ways to increase revenues for small and medium-sized livestock producers will conduct the forum which is expected to provide an opportunity for livestock producers to share basic information on processing needs, types and the number of animals they would like to commit to local processing. Local marketing needs and options will be other topics.

This meeting is expected to serve as an important first step to determining the potential supply for various local processing options.

Other sessions will be at Grangeville in May and Coeur d’Alene in June with dates yet to be announced.
