Spring break, Easter bring

Stephanie, Nera, Brogan and Juniette Mitchell, Spokane, spent last Tuesday and Wednesday of their spring break with parents/grandparents, Steve and Dianne Appel. One of the highlights of their visit was seeing a new set of twin Icelandic lambs.

Emelie Jones, who has been living with her father Bryan Jones, returned home last week Friday after spending a week with her mother Andree in Hamilton, Mont., while Andree was on her spring break from her teaching position.

Last Monday, David and Phyllis Stueckle took a birthday cake to Phyllis’s sister Ann Emerson to help her celebrate her 80th birthday.

Last week Tuesday, Goldie and Al Foss hosted lunch for cousins Elaine Hogan, Richland; Linda Hennigar, Dusty, and Gloria Erickson, Colfax, at their home in Colfax. Elaine Hogan also visited with her aunt Altona Wigen at Henderson House.

Steve and Carol Moore and Lauren and Kurt spent Easter Sunday with Carol’s parents, Vern and Arlene Stambaugh, at their home at Hayden Lake. They also stopped in at Hill Ray to visit with Steve’s father, Don Moore.

Kim and Cindy Pitts were Easter guests of their daughter’s family, Amanda and Erik Carlson, Rafe and Tate, in Spokane Sunday.

Art and Colene Sager joined Blake and Marcy Sager, Jullene and Kenneth, and Marcy’s parents, Othello, and Julie Quilang at their home in Colfax to celebrate Easter Sunday.

Angela Broeckel and children Alex, Sami and Graham drove to Mountain Home, Idaho, last Thursday to spend Easter weekend with parents/grandparents Guenter and Brigitte Scherwinski and sister’s family, Anita and Brian Straw and children. They also celebrated Brigitte’s birthday. They returned home Sunday afternoon.

Celebrating Easter Sunday at the home of Karen Broeckel were Oscar and Brian Broeckel and Linda Hennigar, Dusty; Cliff and Jeanette Nolan, Colfax; Patty, Brett and Jamie Wieber, Spokane; Ken, Pam and Austin Beasley, Waitsburg; Matty Forrest, Australia, and Aleksey Korenkov, Estonia, both currently students at W.S.U.
