Forestry meet in May

Annual conference of the Washington Farm Forestry Association will be May 3-5, 2012, at the Mirabeau Park Hotel in the Spokane Valley. The association is for families who own forests through Washington State.

It includes approximately 1,500 family forest owners who manage more than 150,000 acres of privately held forest land. Among topics at the session will be markets, tax tips, succession planning including the option of conservation easements and Eastern Douglas fir defoliators.

The conference will include a field tour of the Henry-Chapman tree farm with Leon Henry and Ted Chapman.
