NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Whitman County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Public Service Building, 310 N Main Street, Colfax, Washington. The purpose of the hearing is to review proposed revisions to the Hawkins Companies Development agreement Amendment to be submitted by Hawkins Companies. An overview of the proposed revisions will be made by representative(s) of Hawkins Companies.

The hearing will likely be continued to Tuesday, April 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the Public Service Building Auditorium and to Monday, April 23rd at 10:15 a.m. in the Commissioners' Chambers in the County Courthouse, for an anticipated decision on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.

Written comments on the proposed revisions to the Amendment will be accepted until 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2012. Comments can be submitted by the following methods:

Hawkins Amendment-14/2

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Whitman County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.

in their Chambers, Whitman County Courthouse, Colfax, Washington.

The purpose of the hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and to receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from low and moderate income persons residing in the Whitman County area.

Up to $98,170.00 will be available in 2012 to Whitman County and the Community Action Center to fund public service activities that principally benefit low and moderate income persons in Whitman County.

An overview of the proposed public services will be available for review at the Community Action Center, 350 SE Fairmont Road, Pullman, Washington on Monday, April 9, 2012 beginning at 9:00 a.m. or by calling (509) 334-9147. If you are unable to be present at the hearing, you may submit your comments to the Whitman County Commissioners, 400 N Main Street, Colfax, WA 99111 no later than Friday, April 13, 2012. Comments on Whitman County and Community Action Center's past performance for use of 2011 funds and proposed uses for the 2012 CDBG Public Service grant award will also be received.
