Beauty Pagents

Four will seek Rosalia crown

Four girls will compete in the Miss Rosalia title beginning at 3 p.m.

Sunday in the Rosalia High School Gym.

Program theme will be “Search of the Hidden Treasure.” Brittany Terrell, daughter of Ron and Stephanie Terrell of Thornton, will perform a self choreographed country dance.

Haley Lindgren, daughter of Mat and Heather Smith of Malden, will recite a monologue she has written.

Maddy St. John, daughter of Dave and Cathy St. John of Rosalia, will perform a jazz dance.

Heather Wilson, daughter of Karley and Jeannie Harp of Malden, will recite a self monologue of her own composition.

Admission will be $5 with children kindergarten age and under free.

Tickets may be purchased from the contestants or at the door.

Mr. RHS Payton Boxleitner and his court, Grant Gelhaus and Steven Maley, will be emcees.

Four will compete for Miss Tekoa title

“Bayou Beauties” will be the theme of this year’s Miss Tekoa contest at the Empire Theatre Saturday, March 24, at 6 p.m. Four junior girls will compete in interview, talent, poise and composure and impromptu question categories. Nicole Zimmerman will play the theme song from the Titanic on piano, Darby Ratz will perform a dance to “Footloose,” Kayler Dub will recite a humorous monologue and Ce’Nedra Thomas will sign to the song “Dynamite.” Queen Wendy Brandt will give her farewell. Ray Bernard will be emcee. Admission will be $5, and tickets can be purchased at Eclairs Coffee House or at the door.
