Palouse Prairie talk set tonight at Neill

Kas Dumrose will talk on “Restoring the Vanishing Palouse Prairie: My Humble Attempt” at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8, in the Hecht Room of Neill Public Library in Pullman. Dumrose will define the Prairie and describe his attempts to recreate an acre; he will include such topics as cost sharing, plant selection and planting methods, as well as his successes and failures.

Dumrose is a plant physiologist with the USDA Forest Service and his work focuses on propagating native plants. The presentation is sponsored by the Palouse Prairie Foundation.
