Three artist friends open Dahmen exhibit

Pullman artist Franceen Hermanson and Lewiston artists Charlotte Schacher and Marlys Seubert will display recent work at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn during March. The exhibit, “3 Friends, Many Styles” will open with a reception from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, with the artists present.

Franceen Hermanson loves color and it reflects in her paintings. Her paintings capture the mood and colors of the many colorful sunsets and sunrises on the Palouse.

Charlotte Schacher grew up on the Camas Prairie. Until recently her paintings were of the elk and deer and western life that inhabits the prairie. Bored with the colors of nature, she decided to branch out into a semi abstract style.

Marlys Seubert was born and raised in Keuterville, Idaho. Her education was in a one room school in Keuterville for the first eight years and high school at Cottonwood. In 1990 she received a degree in Science and Drafting. She works in several media: pastel, scratch board, oil, acrylic, water color, pen and ink, and colored pencils. She also works with stained glass and has been etching glass for 45 years.
