Whitman County Library needs Whitman County Residents’ input to plan for the future. A survey was recently mailed with the library district’s annual newsletter and is also available online at http://www.whitco.lib.wa.us. Hard copy surveys are now due by March 2 while the online version has been extended to March 4. Anyone completing the survey has the opportunity to enter a drawing to win a new Kindle Fire sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Meet the Artist welcomes painter and steel sculptor Jennifer Rod to the Colfax Library tonight, Thursday, March 1 at 7 p.m. Meet the Artist is co-sponsored by the Colfax Arts Council and the Friends of Whitman County Library.

Whitman County Library and 4H are sponsoring a County-Wide Teen Dance at the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds Friday, March 16 from 8-11:30 p.m. Music will be by DJ Ronnie Blackwood.

The dance is $5 per person and ages 13-18 are welcome.

Only a few 2012 Barn Calendar remain and are on sale for $4 each. Stop by the Colfax Library, Ace or Rosauers to purchase a copy, which helps support children’s programs countywide.
