Family, friends celebrate life of Dusty centenarian

Kathy Atwood of West Los Angeles, her son Kevin and daughter Lucy hosted a celebration of the life of their mother/grandmother, Kathleen Scholz, at the Country Bible Church Saturday afternoon. Approximately 40 people attended the event. Kathleen, who died July 30, asked that she be remembered with a party rather than a memorial service. She would have been 102 Saturday.

Steve, Carol and Kurt Moore attended the state volleyball tournament at the SunDome in Yakima. Their daughter Lauren is a member of the Colfax High School team which placed second in the state 2B division.
