Ashley Smith, McDonough exchange vows in Portland

Ashley Smith from Colfax and Ryan McDonough from Portland exchanged wedding vows in Portland Sept. 4 with the Rev. Dan Quello, retired Lutheran minister, officiaitng.

The bride is the daughter of Rob and Liane Smith of Colfax, and the groom is the son of Gloria Gardner, Portland, and Mike and Dorrie McDonough from Brinnon, Wash.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a champagne lace gown and carried a bouquet of orange gerbera daisies, roses and dahlias.

Co-matrons of honor were Katie Cloaninger Heller, friend of the bride from San Diego, and Cassi Hunter Wynne, friend of the bride from Pasco.

They wore navy dresses and carried orange gerbera daisies.

Best man was Lou McDonough, brother of the groom from Portland.

Brandon McDonough, also a brother of the groom, and Eli and Ethan Smith, brothers of the bride, were among other attendants of the groom.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Anna and Tyler McDonough, neice and nephew of the groom.

A reception followed at the McMenamins Sand Trap after the couple exchanged vows on the lawn overlooking the Gearhart Links golf course.

The bride is employed as a writer and coordinator in the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the Oregon Health and Science University Foundation.

The groom owns and operates RGM Valuations, a residential appraisal company in Portland.
