Library summer reading hours top 5,200 in county

Whitman County Library summer reading participants logged more than 5,280 hours of reading to complete the programs. “One World, Many Stories” was the theme.

Participants who finished received goody bags filled with prizes and coupons along with a completion certificate. Many generous sponsors and volunteers donated money, incentives, and time to enhance the literacy program.
