LaCrosse - Dollars for Scholars nets $20K at auction

The LaCrosse Dollars for Scholars committee met last week to recap their auction results. The auction raised $20,000 for the scholarship fund.

The event was attended by more than 150 people during the Farmers Fest weekend. They were entertained by the lively and fun live auction, called by Butch Booker.

Highlights of the live auction included the sale of a watercolor painting by artist Dennis Brunson who attended the auction with his graduating class of 1961. Bank of Whitman purchased of a bench hand crafted by Darrin Barry using wood from the old gym bleachers.
