James McCoy, town proprietor of Oakdale (sic.), formerly known as McCoy, was in this city Monday and had the plat of his new town recorded.

Justice Porter of this city dismissed a case against Glid Holbrook, Farmington saloon keeper, who was charged with selling spiritinous liquors in violation of the just-passed local option law. Justice Porter said he had no jurisdiction. The saloon is still kept open.

The young folks of the city took advantage of the return of Frank James to indulge in a social hop at the Opera Hall last Friday evening.
