Eggers granddaughter marks first birthday at Penawawa

Garnett Placke, granddaughter of Terry and Janet Eggers of Sandpoint, celebrated her first birthday July 2 at Warm Springs Ranch at Penawawa. She is the daughter of Michael and Leia Placke of Moscow. Also attending the celebration were her great-grandparents Phyllis and Mike Zen Hoff, great-grandmother Shirley Eggers, great-great-aunt Madge Griner of Spokane, uncles and aunts Mike and Patsy Kromm of Quincy, Steve Minier of Sandpoint, and Mark Placke and his fiancee’ Teri Croswell of Florida.

Bruce and Elaine Appel and their boys, Logan, Charlie and Spencer, Hamilton, Mass., spent 10 days visiting his parents, Dick and Helen Appel. They toured the state before stopping in Dusty.

Dinner guests of Shirley Eggers the next day at Warm Springs Ranch were Monty and Sharon Steiger of Genesee and their daughter, Alexis Lewis and her children James and Elizabeth of the Portland area.

Saturday, Linda Hennigar attended the outdoor wedding of her cousin, Jordon Lee, at the home of Bob and Linda Aavedol in Sandpoint. He is a grandson of Marv and Dagmar Kirking. After the reception, relatives gathered at the Kirking home for more visiting.

Sunday, Goldie and Al Foss, Norm and Gloria Erickson and Linda Hennigar joined Loren Stueckle and three of his sons, Jubilee, Josef and Jonah, at the home of Elaine and Dave Hogan in Richland to surprise their sister, Gracia Stueckle of Seattle, to celebrate her 70th birthday.

Saturday, Oscar Broeckel, Brian and Angela Broeckel, Tom and Doreen Riedner, Patty Wieber and Karen Broeckel attended the outdoor wedding of Janie Rasmussen and Kristopher Pryor at the Arbor Gate estate in Nine Mile Falls. Janie is a niece of Oscar Broeckel and the daughter of former Dusty residents, the late Paul and Betty Broeckel.
