Rosalia Garden Club sponsors upoming rose show

Rosalia Garden Club will hold their annual rose show July 12 through July 14 at the Rosalia Whitman County Library. Roses will be entered on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and they must be botanically named. They will be taken out Thursday night, July 14 between 6:30 & 7 p.m. Local rose growers are invited to join garden club members in showing their best rose blooms.

On July 13, garden club members will meet at the library for a 6:30 pm dessert. A short business meeting will tidy up unfinished business. The Smokey Bear Poster winners and Butterfly Poster winners from Rosalia Elementary school are invited to join garden club members. Certificates and monetary awards from Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs will be given to the local youth who participated in the contest.
