CHARGES REFINED IN HOME ROBBERY 6/30/11

Amended charges against Jeremiah J. Lafave, 27, Pomeroy were filed Tuesday in superior court in connection with the alleged home invasion robbery May 31 on Northwood Drive in Pullman. Lafave has been charged with kidnapping, robbery, burglary and harassment with a firearm involved.

The victim told Pullman police officers two men forced their way into his apartment and threatened him with a gun. The intruders later placed the victim in the bathroom of the apartment and used cable to secure the door. They then placed items in a bag and departed.

One of the suspects, Matthew White, 35, Clarkston, was arrested two days later at Clarkston. White was arrested after Pullman Police discovered the suspects had made a shopping stop at Dissmore’s in Pullman that morning and appeared on store videos. White was allegedly identified and was arrested with the assistance of Asotin County deputies. He was booked in jail here and is being held on $250,00 bond with a trial set July 18.

Lafave, who resided in Pomeroy, was arrested June 4 at the home of a relative in Stites, Idaho, and held at the Clearwater County jail in Grangeville.
