Entry days will start St. John

St. John

Entry days next week will launch the St. John Community Fair which will continue through next weekend. Entry day for open youth art and crafts will be Tuesday, April 26, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the home economics building. Judging for these entries will be the next day, April 27.

Food and sewing, adult arts and crafts, photography and flower entries will be accepted next Thursday, April 27, from 8 a.m. until noon. Judging will be that afternoon. The building will be open to the public for the evening menu after 5 p.m.

Livestock entries will be accepted from noon to 5 p.m.

Also, the cook shack will open on the grounds next Thursday at 11 a.m.

There is still time to sign up for St. John’s 15th annual stock show Pig Putt Sunday, May 1. Registration is at 9 with tee off at 10.

Entry fee is $20 for members or $30 for non-members. Bring a team of four or organizers can set up a team. Please call Lou Miller or Sandy Synstad for more information.

The monthly food commodities distribution through the Council on Aging will be Wednesday, April 27, from 10-11 a.m. at the Methodist Church in St. John. This time frame allows for distribution of a larger selection of frozen or perishable food items. The St. John Food Bank will also have items available for local residents. Please bring any extra paper bags you may have to donate preferably with handles.
