Bulldog golfers take third at Colville

Colfax boys golf team placed third in an 11-team meet Monday at Dominion Meadows in Colville with a 471 team score. Kettle Falls won the team honors with a 444, and Lind/Ritzville placed second at 464.

Kyle Johnson booked a 10-over 82 for the third best individual score. Other scorers for Colfax were Tyler Stevenson 85, Corey Maltone 97, Dalton McNeilly 103, Ryan Christopherson 104 and Bryce Kramlich 111.

Paige Mackleit tied for second lowest girls score at 95, 12 back of state champ Kira Powell of Odessa. Alex Boyd carded 121.

The Bulldogs were slated to play at Harrington, today, Thursday.

Brown, Schuster

top windy

match at Tekoa

Casey Brown of Rosalia and Michal Schuster of St. John/Endicott took the medals in a windy four-school golf match Monday afternoon at the Tekoa Country Club.

Brown topped boy scorers with a 43 on the 9-hole par 36. Schuster topped girl duffers with a 47. Pomeroy topped boys team scoring, with St. John/Endicott claiming the girls’ title.

Also scoring for the Tekoa/Oakesdale/Rosalia boys were Cory Brown at 57, Zach Zimmerman at 61, Zane Brown at 83, Cameron Reun at 85 and Hunter Gilroy at 87. John Quinton topped the SJE boys at 51, followed by Dakota White at 55, William Knott at 56, Dustin Patrick at 63 and Alex McCue at 79.

Following Michal Schuster for the Eagle girls were Erin Schuster at 51 and Erin Bailey’s 76. For the TOR girls, Lisa Harder carded a 62 and Nicole Zimmerman a 72.
