Carol Kyllo and her daughter Tami Haas, Spokane, attended a special memorial service at the University Cathedral at Princeton University a week ago Sunday for Kyllo’s granddaughter, Khristin Kyllo, daughter of Tom and Julie Kyllo of Vienna, Va. Khristin passed away several weeks ago during her freshman year at Princeton. The services were organized by Khristin’s Forbes college family (Forbes Dormitory), the girls’ softball team of which she was a member, and the Dean of Religious Life and of the Chapel. A reception followed.

Kyllo and Haas flew to Virginia the previous Thursday and drove up to the campus with Khristin’s parents. They were able to meet with her Forbes dorm family, close friends and watch softball practice. Kyllo and Haas returned home the following Tuesday.

Special guest speaker at the Country Bible Church next Sunday, March 6, 11 a.m., will be Larry Bowles, former Garfield County sheriff. He will share some of his experiences as well as ministering in song.

Vicki Broeckel will be a guest artist showing her work at the Dodson’s Art Gallery/Jewelers during March. Friday, March 4, she will be present at an artist’s reception, from 5 to 8 p.m., which is in conjunction with First Friday, an evening when all the Spokane art galleries are open to the public.
