Lamonters gather to welcome 2011

Twenty-five people gathered Jan. 1 at the Lamont Community Center to celebrate the new year with a potluck dinner and card games.

Don and Sherrill Nelson’s Christmas day dinner guests were Keith, Stacy, Lilly and Kylie Nelson, Shari Golden and Joan Nelson. On Dec. 31, Don and Sherrill drove to St. John to bring in the new year with Paul and Susie Heglar by watching college basketball games.

Betty Stone’s daughter and husband, Patty and Sonny Etheredge, arrived Thursday, Dec. 30, to stay two days and celebrate New Year’s eve and day with her.
